"Heatstroke Alley" was originally designed to be a double album, and as a result an extraordinarily large number of songs were written, recorded and discarded.

A preview of the double-album version of Heatstroke was actually released for 24 hours on Bandcamp in mid-2023, then pulled to await cover artwork. But during that time I couldn't escape the nagging feeling (and hints from a couple early listeners) that for this project, two albums was one too many. Heatstroke was finally released as a single, online-only album in April 2024.

However, though rejected for the album proper, many (though perhaps not all) of the songs are worth hearing, if only for completists.

To break up the guitar-centered songs, I've alternated them with unfinished keyboard and voice demos for the upcoming disc "Machine."
